Bioworld Barefoot Vegan creates handcrafted vegan barefoot footwear in Spain, combining four generations of shoemaking expertise with high-quality microfibres and flexible Vibram soles.

Bioworld Barefoot Vegan combines the principles of barefoot footwear with a manufacturing process that is completely free from materials of animal origin. Every component used in its shoes is vegan and complies with the applicable regulations for environmentally responsible footwear production.

As an alternative to animal leather, the brand uses high-density, plant-based microfibres selected for their resistance, durability and protection against cold and rain. Materials include microfibres from Giardini and AppleSkin, together with soft suede-effect microfibre footbeds from OnMicro.

The shoes feature flexible and durable 4 mm Vibram Supernew Flex rubber soles. Water-based, solvent-free adhesives are also used, helping to reduce atmospheric emissions and workers’ exposure to solvents during production.

Rather than relying on assembly-line manufacturing, every pair is made using traditional, artisanal methods based on the expertise of four generations of shoemakers. This craftsmanship is officially recognised under artisan registration number 4500772, issued by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain.
